RE: discrimination against an injured worker
I wouldnt be whining as much if I was getting TTD payments, but im not. With not much an income coming in, I need to go back to work. When the company feels like paying me its not even as much as I would get with TTD payments. My sick pay runs out soon then I have nothing. I would love to be able to stay home and heal completely, but thats not possible with no income and a small child. And if they are going to let someone else that has the same restrictions as I do work, then I should be allowed to. It shouldnt matter where I got hurt. If they dont allow me to return to work when my sick pay runs out and if that girl is still working under the same restrictions as I am, then im gonna cause all sorts of trouble for them. With no pay, I have nothing to lose, so if they fire me, they fire me. But you best be believing that I will be using my dads contacts at the local tv stations to help. Im at the end of the line with my patience with these people. I cant see myself putting up with much more of this crap. Enough is enough.

RE: discrimination against an injured worker
got a good tent? I got poster board
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: discrimination against an injured worker
Descrimination Against Injured Workers Happens Way To Often!
July 06 I was released to go to work without restrictions. I took paper work into work when released along with a letter with my current contact information saying I woould work any hours they gave. My supervisor told me they didn't have any work for me and didn't know if they would use me in the future. The company had been interviewing prospective employees for the same position as mine the previous week and contined interviewing through the month. My superviser also told me I didn't have to file work comp for my injury and I cost the company to much money. I went home gathered information and hired an attorney. Bottom Line....... Injured workers need to ban together and stop the discrimination. |

RE: discrimination against an injured worker
Truckster- Youre new to the forum. If you go back to the old forum and look back thru oct, nov, dec, jan, feb posts, you will see the hell theyve been putting me thru. Ive been fired once, written up for nothing, called a dam Jew, theyve screwed up my check every week from dec-feb gave march and april a break and starting screwing with my pay again. So, yes im upset, but rightfully so. I work for a very large company with over 1700 locations. Each location nets over 50,000 each month. They can afford to pay me, they can afford to pay me ontime. Im tired of this crap, its beyond old. Its nice to have my will to fight back, I lost it for a few months due to the depression. (((zoloft and bad boy))) brought me back to the real world and the rest of the family here, supported me thru this as well.
Jayne- I think im going to do the tent thing over memorial day weekend, when the stores are the busiest. I do have a tent, granted its a large winnie the pooh tent lol, but it does sleep 3 or 4. The weather should be great and the store has a nice bathroom. I love that idea of Springs. It hasnt left my mind since she posted it. TTD is nothing like I used to make either, but its double what my sick pay is. I have learned to get by on the TTD, but I cant seem to do well with this sick pay. Especially when they dont pay me it on time. |

RE: discrimination against an injured worker
RED my placeof business does not allow you to work if you got hurt at home ... but ife w/c you must work light duty ...
As in I heard them screaming this on the phone to a receptionist and I was probably 4 feet away and still heard it though the phone ... I feel so low and kept telling the poor lady that I was sorry about how rude they treated her .... even asked at next appointment If that was normal for w/c emloyers and said I was sorry again .. she told me No most employers are more worried about their employees hoping they are ok Venting boy I could continue .... but It does help to just get it out hubby is lost like I am in this Roller coaster ride !! |
