question for 1171
When work comp wants to settle and my lawyer sends our request how long then till work comp needs to respond???

court systems and court rules also vary with each state so i can only speak in general on Iowa's but neither side has to respond. The parties are not required to agree on a settlement.
That's why is generally best to have a court date set up in advance so both sides know that if they don't get it done the judge will be deciding. |
