If I get a job, will they cancel my Workers Comp payments?

I'm not positive, but I believe that if you are making $472 every two weeks and say you got a part time job that you make $300 every two weeks, wc would still pay you $172. If you got a job making $400, they would pay you $72. If you make more than $472 in two weeks, wc will not pay you anything, but you will still get medical benefits.

Ksgirl, I could not agree more. Even though the question is based on New York laws we can only go by what we have heard and what happens in our own state. Well said.

8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom.

RE: If I get a job, will they cancel my Workers Comp payments?
Well, I was basically basing my question on the reduced earnings theory. If I'm supposed to receive reduced earnings (the amount that WC makes up for what you are no longer making at your former job). I would think I would make more than that, I'll have to contact my lawyer to find out. Smile Thanks all
