atty hopefully
Hello all, After about a month of calling around I finally found a atty who would listen to my story. Last month my doc put my MMI at 10% and resrictions making me unable to work as an electrician(29yrs). When I got the official paper work that was sent the FLA WC they had it listed with no restrictions. This is why you keep every scrap of paperwork, after my back injury in 2000 in CO I also keep a journal. The atty agreed with me saying "how can they say 10% when you can no longer work in that trade". FLA has a retraining program but they only pay for school. WC/IC payout 10% as 75% of weekly TTD for 20wks and penalize you if go back to work. So we`ll see. thanks for listening, CJ

I will be interested in what happens with your case. When I reached MMI on my left knee I was given a 10% rating and I fought it as my knee wasn't stable and I couldn't wight bear without support.

I received the judge's order this week approving futher treatment of my knee and for the total knee replacement. I also will never work in my profession again as a teacher.

RE: atty hopefully
Bummer, when I got the MMI the doc put me through no tests, looked at the report from PT and said 8%, I said, wait a sec you told me presurgery 15% min. he lied and told me thats all the state will allow. I`m not that much of a dumb construction worker, the charts say 10 to 30%. Also, since the surgery, every time I`ve seen the doc or PT I`ve complained about stability and it seems like it hyper-extends(thats what I call it). I told him this again at MMI and all he did was twist it a bit and say it has nothing to do with the implant, bye. I`ve seen his adds on local TV for the " latest, greatest new thing" WC picked him but a good friend recomended also.I just see another ego at work. CJ
