Employee hurt by other employee
Can you collect workers compensation in the state of PA if another employee comes up behind you and lifts you up hard and fractures a rib?

RE: Employee hurt by other employee
I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to let you know that I will try to look into it for you. While I am doing that, I am sure others will be along with more info. than I have for you.

Good luck and keep us posted. If I learn anything, I will post it as well.

Depends on your role in the events and the details of the situation.
States have caselaw covering injuries that result from "skylarking" or "horseplay" on the job; some are excluded others can be covered.

Hi and Welcome to the Forum! I'm from Pa. also, and the Commonwealth Board of Appeals has just Ruled on such a Case on 1/27/08. You can Read their Decision on pawc.blogspot.com, under Sysco Food Service of Phila. vs WCAB. The Answer to Your Question is Yes, under Most Circumstances, especially if it was an Unprovoked Attack.
