Coping with injury/pain, good info link
Morning everyone.
I found this site, and thought it had great info on it....it's actually for chronic illness, but just substitute the illness words with pain or injury. I thought I'd share it with you, as many of us have had extreme difficulties having to sacrifice our jobs and work/play lives for a different one that we aren't accustomed to....and find it very hard to go it alone. http://www.alpineguild.com/COPING%20WITH...LNESS.html Prayers for a pain free day for ALL! Lilly

Thank you Lilly. I also bookmarked the site to read later. That was very thoughful of you.
I just wanted to mention a book that I think Sithie recommended on this forum. I went to Amazon.com and ordered it, and I have to say it is a wonderful book for chronic pain. It's title is: The Pain Survival Guide, How to Reclaim Your Life Thanks again Lilly. Hope you have a good week. chrischris

RE: Coping with injury/pain, good info link
I went to the pain clinic almost a month ago crying because i had a bad morning getting dressed. I was so depressed that day that all i did was cry and feel sorry for myself that day.
I was suggested by my pain management doctor to go to a chronic pain specialist. They have not set the appt for me yet, and i read the whole article you sent. It helped me very much and i put it in my fav places to remind me on those bad days when i start looking back at what i use to do etc. Now i need to look ahead and accept the fact that i could live with this pain forever. Thank you so much for the article. carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD. 1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10% |
