RE: just went to first dr visit
Morgan5-
welcome, but your profile doesn't say what state you're in- that's going to make a difference in some aspects of your w/c claim and the accuracy of the advice you're looking for.. DH had posterior spinal decompresion, Bi-Lateral laminectomy L3-S1, Excision of L4-5 on L/side. 2/07 |

RE: just went to first dr visit
each state has their own rules about changing doctors and getting second opinions.
If there is a dispute between doctors you can have it resolved by the work comp court. |

RE: just went to first dr visit
California allows employers to control treatment thru a Medical Provider Network. You can change doctors as long as they are in the network. if you disagree with the recommendations of the treating physician provided you can request a panel of physicians from the Dept of workers comp
you should review fact sheet E for information about getting a QME appointment http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/iwguides.html You can find out more about MPN rules here http://www.dir.ca.gov/dwc/MedicalUnit/imchp.html |
