RE: Compensation amounts
Ok first things first...
We met with the attorney today and he is 100% sure we will be awarded wc rights. Where can you find an attorney that will do that? It's mostly because he had answered calls that morning before the accident. One more thing we ddn't think about until today was that his co got his work phone/personal belongings out of the truck after the accident and when I went to his office to pick up his belongings they asked if I could give him back his work phone so he would be able to answer any questions about his jobs. This was the day after his accident while he was still in the hospital! Another interesting fact is that their Safety guy was fired last Monday. Interesting because he was the one who told us it was wc and did the claim. Even more interesting because he was supposed to meet the investigator in order to get our claim approved but was fired that morning. Monster, are you kidding me? I'd gladly give up half the crap I have for a little piece of mind. The problem with a garage sale is that our community doesn't allow it. We could do it over at the in-laws but still I don't know where I'd find time to get everything together. Garage sales are a lot of work. Taking care of my husband and kids, I have not even been able to catch up on basic house work. Please don't think I'm making excuses. I do know what I need to do but there are so many things I don't know where to begin or how to prioritize everything. Thn there are the wrenches that seem to get tossed in everytime I think I ight get something done. Like today, I was planning on going to family services but last night my youngest got sick everywhere a few times. We finally got her to bed @ 2 and about 20-30 minutes after we went to bed our oldest got sick all over us and our bed. We ended up on the couch all night passing the bucket back a forth. So I can't have anyone watch them for risk of passing it on and hubby can't do it himself. I'm exhausted, will probably end up getting sick now and have at least 6 extra loads of laundry to do. I know family would help. They did help me get the house ready for a wheelchair bound hubby before he can home but it was so uncomfortable having them go through my things and seeing our life in such disarray. If I had one wish it would be to clone myself. I'm sorry for going on, and on, and on. I just can't stop typing. I really hate when I'm like this. Thanks Angel for all your advice. A little too late on the attorney though since we signed with one yesterday. My husband will be getting FMLA. No pay but it secures his job and insurance benefits, that is if we are able to pay the premium. I have to go load everybody up for another Dr. visit so you don't have to put up with my ranting anymore....for now. Thanks all! I know that God will never give me more than I can handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much. -Mother Teresa |

RE: Compensation amounts
I'm sorry that I didn't get you the info sooner. I have been away from the computer for a few days, dealing with a few health issues myself.
Are you in the Vegas / Henderson area?? I can give you names and addressess for places that you can go to in order to get assisstance. And if you need help as far as getting some kind of income rolling in, IE short term disability through the state, I will gladly help as much as I can there. Hope that your attorney isn't yanking you around, telling you what he thinks you want to hear just so you would hire him. Angel ^j^ I've always been crazy, but it keeps me from going insane. ************ Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open |

RE: Compensation amounts
Wooo Hooo! Yeah me! FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD!!! (Aside from finding all of you, of course!)
But I will take the hint and move it to the off topic forum. So if you want to know what it is and see that I can actually type in a different tone, you will have to go to my new post. I think I shall call it...I Have To Pee. (you said of topic, right?) I know that God will never give me more than I can handle. I just wish he didn't trust me so much. -Mother Teresa |
