RE: knee settlement
Do you need the knee replacement now or in the near future?

I would not settle until after the replacement, once you have the replacement and are placed at MMI then you wil receive a new rating.

At settlement time keep your medical open, your knee will need a tuneup every 10-15 years or more often.

RE: knee settlement
or is it just the money issue? you do know if you settle with closed medical YOU not any insurance will have to pay for your new knee....as far as settlement some have been in that stage for 4 or 5 years....some go as quick as 2 months depends on what they offer and if you want to settle for that.....what was your disabilty rating? They will try to get you to settle fast so they have to pay less......

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile
