RE: Got lucky with my belly

Oh Lord this process of elimination is a pain in the belly. Ate some homemade soup yesterday that my son-in-law made. Didn't know he had put a small can of tomatoe sauce in for color. Man oh man did i suffer all night. Acid in my mouth again. Now this Dr. tells me I don't have to take any meds unless my stomach hurts. That's everyday so I guess I should keep taking the meds. Placed a call to my PCP and waited all day Thursday and until 3:30 yesterday and finally ran some errands. Didn't he call 5 minutes before I got home and was leaving the office until Tuesday. Will call my ENT Monday also about allergy testing AGAIN. This will be my 3rd set of tests in about 10 years. So I am eliminating foods one by one, shopping for all sorts of gluten free and dairy free stuff today. Found something called Rice Dream which is non-dairy and I can use in my Tea and cereal. Otherwise it's an off and on kind of pain now. Mainly on. UGH!

RE: Got lucky with my belly
I live in NH and heard something last week about a dairy that had a bacteria in the milk and a few elderly women died. I do not know much about it, and maybe some of you read it. A company near where my work trailer is, gets milk delivered by that co. They had the company dispose of all the milk they were given and it was replaced. Wish i could find the article on it, but happened last week sometime.

I am sure this happens all the time. I will have to do a search to see if i can find the article to know what really happened.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%

Cap

Sounds like you need to stay away from things that have citric acid in them at this point. And yes apples have acid in them as well if I remember correctly.

Like some of the rest - I was also raised on special formula - and I mean special as I even threw up goats milk - so the hospital had to special mix mine - until I was 6 months old then I was given fresh cows milk and it was the only thing I could keep down. Even my kids were raised on soy milk formula ......

RE: Got lucky with my belly

Thanks Sparkey. My PCP is treating this as Gastroparesis which is delayed emptying. Common in diabetics especially if they have an enlarged thyroid. That' me. The med he gave me definitely helps the lower belly. Breakfast was fine yesterday and so was dinner but lucn i had horrible pains during and after. Was rather upset while I was eating "spasms for nerves" ???? OR I had thrown a couple cans of beef gravy in my own beef stew "preservatives and other garbage in the canned gravy"????? Who knows. This is a real process.

Pooh>>>>when I was a kid I broke out in hives when I are any tomatoe product and sufferered after eating an orange always. I thought I had outgrown them both but I guess I haven't. I can't eat any fresh fruit because it sets the IBS off so I have to stick to applesauce and canned everything else. UGH!

Love,

RE: Got lucky with my belly

Thanks Sweet tooth for the encouragement. Jayne I have thought of baby food. I remember when my mother had an ulcer she had to eat only baby food for about a month.

Red>>>>You are so kind. In light of everything you are going through you are still willing and able to help others. I would love your feedback. I cried alot yesterday. Still waiting for my PCP to call back. I missed him Friday by 5 minutes and he's not in until tomorrow. Have had allergy testing done a couple of times and it's always different. I don't know if he'll want it done again. I'm so tired. Will start another post with the mental distress going on.
