RE: Borninabarn
Hang in there Born and stay persistent with your Attorney for an answer. He/She may be busy, but he/she works for you also. You deserve the same attention as any other client. My Attorney is great, but sometimes he's not even in the office for a couple of days at a time, due to court appearances. Just keep leaving messages until you hear back and I hope it's good news!!Wink

RE: Borninabarn
Born, as the rest have said hang in there. I was also denied and it was over a year before my claim was accepted. I was terminated and had no income, I filed for unemployment, now am living on my SS and a little I had set aside. 401 etc. and still fighting. Maybe others can suggest what you can do in the meantime. Good Luck to you and yours. It sure is no picnic fighting for what is rightfully yours.

RE: Borninabarn
Hi borninabarn...my husband was injuried 12/05, denied and stopped paying him in 01/06.  He had an IME with the lawyers referred physician, and finally this month he is going for an IME with the IC referred physician.  Then I don't know how long it will be until it finishes.  So yes, I guess it can take this long.  It is really hard on most of the IW's when this happens.  Also...you said that you have an attorney, is there a motion that he can file for medical care through the courts that the IC would be responsible for?  There is a law here in New Jersy that allows for a motion for temporary relief for medical care.  Our lawyer did not file it, because my husband was able to receive medicare through my insurance.  I hope this helps some.  Best of luck.
