California Mileage Rate Increase
DWC announced today that they will increase mileage reimbursement to be inlign in the new IRS standard rate of 50.5 cents per mile, effective with medical travel starting January 1, 2008.

Kansas seems to be about a decade behind the east and west coast so in about 2017 it will increase here.

Thanks Chris...
BUT...it doesn't effect me anymore because since I settled I am "locked" into the rate at the time of settlement with no future increases. 
Babebahn..."Tongues don't have erasers" Injured 1999 3 level anterior cervical fusion 2001 Settled Work Comp Case 2006 w/ Lifetime Medical Currently, C7-T1 is being watched will possibly need surgery front/back fusion from C3-T2, lower back needs another facet injection. |

CD it increased to .47 a mile in July here in Kansas.

I will try to remember to ask my friend....but she is owner operator so it is more than a regular driver
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone.You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life,you have come out ahead of the game.....

that would be one of the most unusual provisions of any settlement I've ever heard of. what does the award say specifically? can you quote that section? |

That's what I was thinking 1171. Freezing the mileage rate in a settlement seems so petty, and as you say, unusual.

Nope...I'm not wrong. The last increase, I turned in my mileage and got a letter from W/C stating that I cannot have the new rate for mileage because my settlement did not stipulate I allowed "any" increases! I doubled check!
