my childrens weekend
as you all know we spent last weekend in Tulsa.....Let me start by saying all my children are fine. These last 3 we adopted all have fetal alcohol syndrome and need to be watched carefully....My older daughter was going to have them for most of the weekend but for the 4-5 hrs each day she was going to work their bio Dad was gonna watch them...we felt he was doing well and we could trust him......
Fri in Tulsa I get a call from his mom....Jayne do not leave the children with Tim his boss says he is drinking again......I call Becca and tell her...she says dont worry Mom if he is drinking he wont get the kids I will call in sick(becca hates Tim anyhow)she calls me back Mom hes fine...she goes to work...comes and gets them that nite other than seeming to be very tired he is ok kids are rocking he has given them lots of candy......Sat. she takes them back he still seems tired but otherwise OK...she asks him please do not give them candy or soda pop when she gets back she can hear the TV in the parking lot....the kids answer the door and Tim is laying in the floor....looking like he has been in an accident ....Becca steps over him and turns off TV.....this is what they did that day..after he gave them candy and soda pop....he gave them a gallon of paint and told them they could paint the walls...and promply passed out in the floor (drugs or booze we are not sure) they painted the walls, tables, countertops, floor and furniture......Carrie (9)and shae(5) gave him a "makeover" using red nail polish to paint his eyes, lips and cheeks (this is what Becca thought was blood)she also gave him a "haircut" (he used to have long hair he now has a buz cut .....Daniel(8) started a fire in potpourri in the living room.....these children as near as we can figure had 3 hrs to distroy his apartment...judging on the movies carrie said they "watched" almost every surface had cream latex pain or red fingernail polish on it...the kids told Becca they kicked and hit him trying to wake him up...so out the door Becca hauls off and kicks him in the side as hard as she can......she DID NOT TELL ME THIS TILL I GOT HOME........Then she was worried he was dead and her finger prints were the last adult ones on the door and TV...so I called his Mom the next morning she called his boss and they sent someone over he was still passed out in the floor....and they said the apartment looked like a war zone....now if you arent ROFLYAO then you have no sense of humor.....He will never see my kids again and I bet he never shuts his eyes around a child again...And he better be glad it was Becca that found him and not me or his Mom. ;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: my childrens weekend
Jayne, life is not dull with our children. I believe yours were showing their
creative side. Reminds me of the last time my husband & I got away before Tulsa. That was the first weekend in September and we were 2 hours from home. My 16 yr old daughter was babysitting my 8yr old autistic son. They were in a friends horse pasture taking pictures when my son fell on a large stick. My daughter drove my son with the stick in his leg to ER. Hubby & I got to the hospital just as the doctor was getting ready to sew the wound on my son's leg. |

RE: my childrens weekend
Jayne, I don't know if I should cry or scream. How an adult man could do this... wow.. did he get what he deserved. I am so glad that the kids are ok though, I bet you were very angry when you found this all out. I am sorry that it happened to you and your kids. Love ya Red
Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind. |

RE: my childrens weekend
Jayne, Reading this was very upsetting to me. I'm so sorry the kids had to be subject to their dad's behavior such as it was. I'm surprised one of the kids didn't call 9-1-1. Sounds like there is never a dull moment around your house. Take care.
