Help for my husband!
My husband was injured on the job two months ago. He hurt his knee and they really didn't want to fix it, but they sent him to the Dr. That Dr. sent him to another Dr. three hours from where he is. They are supposed to be setting up a surgery date.
After two months, no one from the workers comp office will talk to him, and he wants to get a lawyer.
The company he works for is based in Colorado, the workers comp is out of kansas, and he is working in Utah. Where do I start to look for a lawyer???????
Please help, and thank you so much for your time!!!!

RE: Help for my husband!
he can choose either where the company is located or where he was injuried. I saw that posted somewhere on here before but I am not positive, what you can do is pm Timothy Belt he is an attorney in PA. but I am sure he can answer you question better from a legal stand point. But if I was you I would be looking for one that is close to my home. If that is where the company is located it doesnt really matter about where the i/c is located.

Good luck

RH

RE: Help for my husband!
Please look over each state as to what is allowed .. before saying what state you want the claim in I would ask lawyers from each state what the pros and cons are for each . Then basic it off that answer .

RE: Help for my husband!
generally the coverage is based on residence or location of injury event.
There are a few states use the point of hire. when there are multiple possible jurisdictions they'll defer tp where the claim was filed.
