Exclamation Having a very hard time!
Hello everyone. My name is Mary and I am very new to the entire process of dealing with Workers Compensation. I injured my lower back at work and had ended up having surgery to repair a ruptured disc. I am currently in physical therapy and have my next doctors appointment on Tuesday, December 4th. I have received a form from the division that is entitled "Request for Voluntary Conference" and I'm not sure what to do about it. Does anyone have any advice? I do not have a lawyer at the present time and my life is full of stress due to lack of income and dealing with the injury/recovery. Thanks for reading! :)

RE: Having a very hard time!
First thing to do in the morning is to start calling lawyers.
Good luck -

A lawyer really is the best. They generally will talk to you the first time for free. Do not sign anything without an Atty looking at it. Good Luck !

Always believe in yourself. No matter how much some people will make you doubt yourself.

RE: Having a very hard time!
Well we need to know in your profile what state you are from. I myself never got a lawyer involved as i had no need to. I read alot of stuff on the internet about my state and i came here daily to these lovely people for answers. Not everyone needs a lawyer. Yes it is free for the first call for answers, but after that they take over your case and you have to wait on them for everything. I preferred to do it on my own.

Now if i had a problem like not getting paid, not getting a test i wanted ordered etc. YES then i would of went for one. It all depends on the situation and the individual. I wish you luck. Just keep reading up on wc for your state. Every bit helps.
