ace25 Wrote:Monster, then blame the insurance companies, not the drug companies. I think they would be happy to sell it for hypertension, as long as they get paid for it. The doctors should have prescribed the generic brand you mentioned, particularly if it is the same thing. Have him talk to his doctors. Ace - I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound harsh and after rereading my post it wasn't put very nicely. I hope you will accept my apology and I didn't even welcome you to the forum, my apologies for that as well, I am usually not so rude. As far as Viagra goes I believe all who truly need it for either reason should be able to get it. Sex is or was I should say (due to our injuries) a large (no pun intended, LOL) part of our lives until we got injured. I believe those who need Viagra due to ED whether it be from pain or whatever reason should be able to have a prescription written and have it filled. For most that is not the case. Viagra is to expensive for the average person to afford so the wealthy and well covered get what they need. As far as my roomie goes he is lucky to have very caring doctors who took the time to find the alternative for Viagra which is the Rivaccio (still don't know if I'm spelling that right). In the hospital he gets Viagra, at home he gets the one I can't spell right, LOL ![]() Once again Ace I do apologize for my prior post, this is just a touchy (no pun intended again, LOL) subject for me as my roomie really needs it to breathe ![]() Everyone have a nice evening and I am now back to my cookie monster self

Monster,
Thanks for the welcome, and no apology was needed. I did not take any offense, as I hope you did not with my posts. "In the interest of peace, one should change their signature often" (or when threatened by someone who packs heat)

RE: I/C forced to provide Viagra for I/W
Sexual Dysfunction is very common when you are injured. Whether it's the injury or the medications, if it is a serious problem for you, report it to your doctor. According to AMA Sexual Dysfunction, baseline ADL (Activities of Daily Living) qualifies for 20% whole person impairment.(Sexual Dysfunction Table 7-5)
If the sexual dysfunction is solved simply by giving a patient viagra, then the I/C is happy to cure the problem so cheaply. Most people who find themselves unable to have an intimate relationship ignore the issue rather than deal with it, but it can create not only personal problems for you and your partner, but also psychological problems. Tell me the truth. Am I too serious? Do I need to lighten up?

ROFLMAO...love the penguin avatar (thought I better be specific cause you've had some good ones on today).
CC - you are fine you can be serious or playful it's up to you BUT, I would love to see you more playful so that I know you are having some fun and relieving some stress. Your serious side gives us great info, but I wanna see the fun side girl, LOL...get on over to the off topic side and have some fun (That's an actual prescription wrtten by your Blue Cookie Monster, Dr, PhD, etc, etc, etc,....I have to many degrees to list sorry, ROFL )

RE: I/C forced to provide Viagra for I/W
Dr. Monster, I always listen to my doctor, so I will do as you say.
![]() Just had a "serious" day. I/C playing with scripts for the past 3 weeks. They say scripts are approved, Pharmacy says they reject and actually talked to my C/A who told them not to fill scripts. I went to the pharmacy today and picked up the scripts and said "forget it!" Out of meds tomorrow. It really irks me because I left the scripts 3 weeks before I needed them because I calculated a delay, but this is ridiculous. Left a message with my attorney. Also got word from work today that I only have 2 more weeks of sick leave. I don't think they can fire me while my claim is pending, but I'm not 100% sure. I think I will still be considered an "employee" but at a no pay status and most likely my insurance will be cancelled. That will be great. No W/C and no Insurance. How does this happen? I know I shouldn't worry but I can't help it. Last Thursday I was so down I started scratching and before I knew it my arm was bleeding. Now I have a band of scabs that look like an ugly bracelet all around my wrist. Didn't even feel it! Still, Thanks for the encouragement. You are so kind and caring. CD: That "insect" has got to be the best avatar ever! I thought I had a bug on my screen until I saw it was under your name. Then it made sense! Thanks for keeping us all wondering who you will be on your next post. ![]() Sorry for the venting. We all take our turns!!! ![]()
