Chad's Needs

RE: Chad's Needs
I just got back from the post office. Anything liquid such as lotion needs to be contained in a zip lock bag. I was a bad monster and lied, but she is my friend and looked the other way, LOL. Now I only hope it doesn't spring a leak Smile She asked me specifically about shaving cream...I didn't get any because I couldn't find any that was unscented...not sure if you are allowed to send shaving cream or not.

Please click the link below to help provide food for homeless animals. It's free and only takes a second of your time! Thanks Smile

RE: Chad's Needs
K guys... talking to Chad right now... he says he would rather not have "Friend of Bri's Mom" on the return address - one of the Sergeants over there says that actually might make it look a little suspicious. All they want is a bona fide return address. You can put your initials above the address, whatever. If it isn't from me, he'll know it's from you folks.

Whoever sent the first card, Chad says thank you. He received it, said it was nice, and has put it on display. Smile Looks like letters have a roughly one week turn around time, as I sent mine out just over a week ago I believe.

I know a couple of you said you were going shopping Monday. He's discussed the things they are still in need of, as several care packages have already come in. The revised list includes the following: (and thank you all again for being so very patient and giving with my sweetheart!)

"Fru fru" coffee - hazlenut, vanilla, that type of thing. He says all they have over there is Maxwell House, and apparently they're getting tired of it. This goes for creamers as well. Also, the store there is perpetually out of sugar. I'm sending a pack of coffee filters over, but the standard, flat bottom basket filters are in high demand as well.

For those of you looking for a slightly less expensive way to support them - they need boredom busters on the go. Chad said puzzle books are a great care item, and you can get them at the Dollar Store, I'm sure. Also, pocket games like Battleship and Poker (they make little electronic ones very inexpensively).

Wet wipes are always in demand, but Chad requests no "baby" wipes, just the antibacterial wet wipes. Gum and mints are in high demand, but they are groaning no more candy. Apparently that's what everyone is sending. And every last one of them is begging for home baked goods. I know where I'm spending my Friday!

That should be a long enough shopping list! Hopefully everyone who wants to donate to our men and women overseas has spotted something in their budget. Chad tells me that when a package comes in, they usually pull the stuff that is specifically meant for them and they have a community area where they put out the rest of the boxes for people to take what they need and or want. So for those of you worried about my fellow airmen who won't be getting much mail, they will all be partaking of your kind and generous hearts.

Love you all already...
~Brianne

I believe the reason she asked is because you can't send anything in aerosol cans. It's easy to make weapons out of aerosol cans, so they are banned from shipping overseas. Thanks for sending the package Monster! I will let you know when he gets it!
