The company I am employed at is self-insured. I understand there are many larger companies that are self-insured, but the company's safety supervisor and the company's workman's comp coodinator are the same person. This person is also on the directors list of the state's self-insured association. Does that seem strange to anyone besides me?

I would expect someone with knowledge and experience in a very specialized field to have multiple duties and roles.
