RE: I need your help
I think you should of been paid since the time of the accident if the doctor cut your hours. As far as being paid for gas, you are entitled to be reimbursed for gas mileage to your doctors appts. Some states are different, so you will need to find out that. Good luck.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%

Johnny welcome to the forum...but sorry we all had to meet like this,
Was a workers comp claim even filed? You should have had to fill out a claim form right after you told your work about the injury. To me , it sounds like your work may be paying for your MD bills and possibly didn't turn it in. Please let us know what has taken place so far.
Take care,

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

RE: I need your help
workers comp only covers the work injury. If there were other problems before that then no they wouldn't cover it.

RE: I need your help
You should get retro pay from the beginning, as long as the paperwork has been filled out and submitted. Do you have a lawyer? If not, I suggest you get one. I did not get one, at first, becasue the i/c seemed to be paying all my bills. Luckily I did finally get one, I found out that they owed me a lot of money that they had not been sending, I was suppose to get reinbursed for mileage and I did not realize that I had 2 yrs. after the accident, to file a report with the state. The i/c was just trying to play nice, so that I would not seek counsel and find out that I had 2 yrs. to file with the state, and then they would no longer be responsible for anything. Luckily, 1 1/2 years after my injury, I got a lawyer and she found so much that I was not getting, just because I didn't know I was due any of it.

Good luck.
