MyBB no surgery now what?
well since I have decided to forgo surgery the Dr. has set up another appointment for me because I told him I have questions about my status now that I am not going to have surgery.
What should I ask the dr.? How does one reach permanacy? I am also going to ask him about my light duty since the only way I can get voc rehab (vessed) is if he has me lifting 10 lbs or less. That is what the IME said about my restrictions. Also I dont know if he will put me at MMI or not ,and if he does , does that mean the IC will stop making payments? What can I do to get the Dr. and the IC to get this expedited?

RE: no surgery now what?
good move on your part to get information.
You need an alternate treatment plan. You need the doctor to give you some conservative options.
whether you have reached maximum medical improvement is based on medical opinion. If the doctor has no reasonable treatment options then they usually declare you at MMI. (sounds like the IME already made that finding.)
If so, wage replacement payments will end.
Generally you have little influence on how fast other parts of the system function.
I'm not sure what you mean by "this"? the mmi declaration?
you can pretty well get it if you demand it.
the rest of the process? not much.

RE: no surgery now what?
One thing you need to know in New York and most all states is the Ime will almost always find you not injured or at MMI. Remember they are being paid by the ic to say that. If they would say something other then that the ic would not use them anymore. You need to have your own Doc make his or her own decisions and fight it out with the IME. One thing i have found out is these so called doctors (IME's) are the lowest of the low and will do or say anything to keep the ic patience's flowing in at $500.00 a pop for a 5 min joke of a examination. I am also in new york i had a IME examine in Feb 07 he was like 75 years old and looked like he needed a doctor himself, very rude and did not even look at me or my MRI or EMG test and said i was fine. have not received a dime or any medical help since. Oh to top it all off when he asked me what i had on my back i told him i had a lido-cane patch on at that time he told me to take it off me being naive and new to the whole system did what he said thinking he was going to examine my back. Yea Right he told me to throw it in the garbage and we are done here . Fight Them they are the Lowest of the Low remember that
