Am I paranoid?
Paranoid….do you think that IC/WC acknowledges to your “Doc” that you have legal representation. I just hired a lawyer after 13 months, and my visit with the “Doc” this week, was a little strange, very cold and short.

I'm I just paranoid, or do the "Docs" treat you differently, if they know .

RE: Am I paranoid?
I was treated for my hand by an ortho, once I filed a wc claim this doctor became my treating physican under wc for my knees.

When I hired an attorney I did see his attitude change in a big way.

No, I do not believe you are being paranoid.

RE: Am I paranoid?
My Ortho Doctor told me on my third visit to him I should hire an attorney.
I think hewas getting hassled and figured the lawyer would interceed.

RE: Am I paranoid?
Hi.
My Doc is the one who stressed (3x's in one visit) to me to Get a lawyer! So I did.
Possibly your Doc wasn't feeling up to par that day, employee problems, or was simply having a bad day w/ his schedule.

RE: Am I paranoid?
Even if you are feeling paranoid it could be a good thing as long as it does not rule everything you do. I beleive a heightened sense of awareness is is a good thing in this case.

RE: Am I paranoid?
I felt that way once at an Ortho appt. The Dr had been going back and forth with my WC carrier or coverage for a procedure the Dr was wanting to do. I just kinda felt like he just didn't want to deal with me that day. But at a later appt he was back to normal. His office staff is the ones who are really mean to me. Like they are looking down ther noses that I[/font] am on WC and not paying with private ins.
