RE: Tens Unit
Hi Bummer, I Hope you are Well Today! I had a Tens Unit given to Me from My PM Dr., and the Cost of the Machine was $3500.00. It used those Stickies that You put the wires to, in a Brace fitted to My Lower Back. I could Adjust as needed, and not only did it Send Electricity to the Effected Area, there was also a Setting that would Work My Stomach and Back Muscles. When I would Use it I would feel great for about 15 min., then the Pain would either Return, or get a Bit Worse. I think that was due to the Scar Tissue Pulling My S1 Nerve, so I returned it to the Co. that Supplied it. What was Great about it was it had a Computer that would Track when I used it and the Intensity I used, and it actually Helped My Case, because it showed that I used it as Instructed, and it gave No Relief! For You though, if You get a Unit Similar to that One, it may give You some Relief! I sure Hope it does, and Have a Great Day!!Wink

RE: Tens Unit
My husband has 1. He has Stenosis in the neck and DDD in Low back. He uses is tens everyday on and off thru the day. The insurance company he has paid for it outright and he gets pads delivered every few months and they bill the insurance. They said not to use it while driving and not to place the pads directly on the spinal cord. I hope it helps you.

RE: Tens Unit
I purchased my Tens machine from my PT and it was $65.00. It's portable, it came with the pads and it works for me. They use the BIG unit at PT, but the one I have does just fine. Also, I purchase the pads every so often from PT and they cost $15.00 for 4 pads.
Good luck!
