SSDI EXAM
I had my exam yesterday for ssd they sent me to a psyciatrist.
My daughter got a letter to go also since she is the person I put on the paper that know about my condition.
She got off work to go with me and he never spoke to her.
First question was How long have you been under psyciatric care.
Answer was never.
He then said why are you here, I showed him my letter and my daughters letter.
His office was a mess, dirty and he had a bunch of papers in a milk crate.
He dumped the milk crate and started going thru it looking for papers.
I sat there and just watched him. He didn't seem to find anything so he picked up a yellow tablet and started asking me questions.
Like
How many siblings did I have
Are my parents alive and did they ever divorce
Am I married
Do I have sex often?
repeat some numbers
name 5 cities
who is the president
Then he said thank you it was nice meeting you.

Is it just me or was this the most idiotic thing you have heard.

RE: SSDI EXAM
I had all my reports and exrays with me and I asked him if he wanted to see them and he said "I wouldn't know what to do with them"
He didn't want to talk about my injuries or symptoms.
It was in and out.
I would expect this kind of treatment from the IC but I was not expecting it from SS.

RE: SSDI EXAM
I find you stated this was for Social Security;

Being said, first I would report such said person calling themself Doctor, to your State License Board.

Then I too would write a letter to Social Security stating everything you mentioned here, and request you have a better option of a clean office, and a Doctor with their paper work in proper places, as the Hippa Laws do state, patients files and records are to be stored in proper places.

RE: SSDI EXAM
The more I think about it today the more ridiculous it seems.
I hate to cause any waves as I am hoping to get ssd and the ic has me so jaded I don't trust anyone anymore.
I honestly kept looking around to see if someone with a camera would jump out as a joke.
What burns me the most is my daughter had to change her hours(which isn't easy to do at her job) plus she wasn't feeling well (she is getting over strep throat). If she wasn't needed why did they send her a letter to go to the exam.
Right now I feel this exam is like an ime - SS is just looking for papers saying you aren't injured enough.
My letter does say if I have any questions to contact my ss adjuster.
I think I will just to see what he says.

RE: SSDI EXAM
Just remember this also. I too was followed by Social Security. At that time, I thought it was the WC IC, but it wasn't. Then it stopped. I got a call from the SS office, stating I truely do have a problem walking up stairs. I said I'm sorry, but how would you know that. That's when I was told I was being followed.

But again, I too was followed by the WC IC also, but at a different time.
