mri results
i got my results back and my doctor said i had small tears in the postirer horn of my meniscus.she wants to try consevative therapy still and im going in for a cortisone injection in my knee today. my pt also said i had plica syndrom. anyone ever had this? and did the shot do anything for anyone?

I had pilca syndrome & meniscus tears & a baker's cyst. The MRI
showed nothing.

I also had picla syndrome along with tears in the meniscus.
Shots were tried first and helped for a short time along with physical
therapy.

My progress was limited and the doctor did surgery, while scoping my knee the doctor found the problems.

The doctor preformed what he called pilca sectioning, the minescus was folded under.

The tears would not repair themselves due to the location in the knee.

Hi,
I also had meniscus tears(anterior and posterior) that showed on the MRI. I went through the shots and therapy first....but then the knee started giving way, causing me to fall. I ended up having arthro surgery and had very good luck . I have no experience with plica
