AZ Gal Denial and Surveillance Question

RE: AZ Gal Denial and Surveillance Question
You can always check with your attorney on this - but most states have laws on what is legal when it comes to PI's and what they are able to do. Since you have glass on one side of the house - they can take pictures - but in my opinion, I don't think they could use a telephoto lens to get pictures inside the house.

There is still some expectation of privacy laws that may come into place here, and that may be a gray line there with living on a lake. So your attorney would be the best to answer the question.

RE: AZ Gal Denial and Surveillance Question
Check the criminal codes in your state. Generally speaking you have a privacy right while inside your house. The fact that it is all glass may effect that some but it is not legal (criminally) (peeping tom) statues. I would get a good description of anyone who seems suspicious and report them...they are possibly committing an illegal act.

You have a right to privacy in your home but I am sure there are some lawyers and even some case law that would chip away at that because of the windows. There are also some protections inside your backyard but that depends on if you have a fence. You can read about this online it is called curtailment. It is not absolute. Generally speaking if you are anywhere that would reasonably be considered private (home, public bathroom) you are protected. Everywhere else is fair game.
