Hi marimar,
Don't be scared there are lots of us here going thru the same things as you. You r not alone. There are others here who have the same type to symptoms they will be along to give advice. I am no doctor but sounds like you need that MRI for sure. Have them (your docs) request it for you so you can get to the bottom of this. As far as x-rays go they do tend to miss alot. My x-ray showed nothing until i went for the MRI and emg .. hang in there Tony

Thank you so much. All of this is so scary. I injured my shoulder, the DR said i sprained it. But my neck hurts and i get this pain that goes down my arm to 3 of my fingers, they tingle and get numb, the DR said is that it must be a nerve, i see a DR a pain mgmt Dr and the PT people. I swear they all give me different stories. Im going nuts. I dont know whats going to happen. I hear people being out for so long. I want to go back but I cant hold the tray so they wont send me back.

I am also from new york city. I just want you to understand New York is not a very friendly state when it comes to W/C. Second thing is whatever the IC might tell you they are far from your friends they are looking out for there own interest and saving money that's all they care about period. So when you have any contact with them just watch what you say.

What part of your body did you injurer ? You stated you are going to PT and you are getting worse. Did your doc request to have a MRI done ? If it is your back you injured you might have problems that PT alone will not take care of like me. Also you might get a letter from the ic to have you be seen by one of there docs they are called IME's Independent medical examiner. Believe me when i tell you they are far from independent they work and get paid by the IC"s and get anywhere from 400 to 500 dollars per visit by the IC so they say what the ic wants to hear and that is you are fine and there is nothing wrong with you. You just need good medical reports from your docs to counter there report's.

If you start to encounter problems with the ic like i have you might want to talk with a W/C attorney they do not cost you anything unless you win your case and there fee is set by the WCB in New York State. I tell you all this because i injured my back like 10 months ago and even with MRI and a EMG test showing bulging disc and nerve damage the 5min IME the Ic sent me to was all the Ic needed to cut me off from all Bennie's and am now fighting in the W/C court room to receive what i deserve. Good luck to you and keep us up to date. ... Tony

Hi Marimar,

Have you called the i/c and found out who your adjuster is? Like Tony says NY or any state for that matter is not worker friendly. But you need to find your adjuster and start looking for an attorney. They have a certain amount of time ( not sure about NY) to either except or deny your claim. But first of all you need to calm down hard to think straight if you are upset it only makes you tense up more causing more pain. I had a shoulder injury years ago and I can tell you, you described the same things I had. from the neck pain down the arm and the 3 middle fingers all connected. I was in so much pain my head tilted to the left and I didn't even know why. You need an MRI AND A EMG . At first they will always say it just a strain or sprain but most times it's something else you may have a rotator cuff tear, anyway try putting ice on it at night get you some over the counter motrin even if you have to take 3 or 4 of them for the time being along with a nice hot shower or bath and maybe just maybe it will give you a little relief make sure you eat before taking the motrin. This is what I always do for things I don't know go to WEBMD it helps maybe you can find out what is going on from there. In the meantime rest that arm take care of yourself and except the fact that you are injuired and things will work out for the best. Those girls need you

Good luck

RH
