RE: sooooo upset
You need to apply for SSD as soon as possible if you are or think you will be off work for a year or more. You could be put at MMI and still not be released to return to work. Depending on the doctor report you would still be entitled to treatment. Sounds like you are at a point where you probably need an attorney.

RE: sooooo upset
Kentuckygirl,
I got approved for SSD while on WC, and did not have to share w/ WC!
You need a lawyer fast, as if the MD has not released you, or has put you on restrictions....you need to know "in writing" what exactly the restrictions are.
Good luck w/ lawyer hunting, and you are in my prayers too! LillySmile

Injured worker, & tired of it all! I'm too old for games!!

A careless word may kindle strife, a cruel word may wreck a life, a timely word may level stress, and a loving word may heal and bless!

RE: sooooo upset
Sending good thoughts your way Kentuckygal. You have been on my mind all day. The games WC plays with peoples lives is a crime. It is hard to accept that you cannot do your job of many years and cannot find another due to restrictions. If VR does not feel they can help you find something within your restrictions you have a permanent disability which should be compensable. A good WC attorney should be able to guide you through the process. Good luck on the lawyer search, hope you find a good one who can answer your questions and give you some peace of mind.
Tie a knot at the end of that rope and HANG ON!!

RE: sooooo upset
I was put at MMI the end of Aug. this year. My doctor put me on permanent restrictions , but able to work 40 hours if i would like. I am still going to pain management, and have a date set for my permanent impairment award. You need to find out if they are sending you to rehab to help you find some type of work you can do etc. To me they should not be writing you off as of yet. I would have the doctor write down your restrictions.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%
