Finding a physician
I am currently covered by NYS Workers Comp. I have moved to DuBois PA and am trying to find mental health providers that will accept workers comp and treat me. I have moved 4 1/2 hours from the NY border.

RE: Finding a physician
Once you get some doctors names you can check them out on the Pennsylvania Medical Board Site:

http://www.dos.state.pa.us/bpoa/cwp/view...4&q=432799

A couple of tips I have learned because I have had so many doctors:

1. Call some local applicant attorney offices and tell them you are new to the area, looking for a doctor in the w/c mental health field and ask if they can provide a couple of names of doctors that they refer their clients to. I found they are more than happy to help.

2. Call the mental health doctors yourself and tell them your story. Mental Health doctors are more willing to talk to patients over the phone than other specialties. This way you can get an idea whether you might like this doctor or not, and vice versa. One doctor I talked to and explained my case to said that he would take my case even if WC didn't pay him. He believed me from the start, over the phone. He has been treating me for 6 months and hasn't been paid anything yet.

Good luck to you.

Let Go, and Let God......
