Pain management

RE: Pain management
Pain management is wonderful if you get the right doctors. I go to a big clinic a hour from my home and it is well worth the travel. It has alot of doctors in there and they only care about your pain and getting you the help you need. They will try like everyone said to get you the meds little by little to see what takes the pain mostly away. I say MOSTLY as you will never be 100% pain free if you are in chronic pain daily. I went through so many medications until i found the one that makes me function to be able to work 40 hours again as i stated in my other post.

They also send you to OT or PT depending on what you need. They can send you to other specialist, but like my PM doctor is also my primary now to take care of my pain. I go one time a month for med refills and to talk about how i am doing with my pain. I signed a narcotics form that says i will not doctor shop, etc etc. They will test your urine to make sure you are taking your meds. and not selling them. If you are up front with your pain and honest about how you feel, you should be very happy with these doctors. They helped me get my life back to be able to work again and stay out of bed in my little corner of the world. A part of healing when you are in chronic pain is seeing a physc. to talk about your pain. It really helps deal with the problems of home and how you are feeling about your pain. Everyone gets depression along with pain, so do not feel offended and take advantage to speak to someone and get it all out. It really helps you in the healing process.
