RE: MRI Update
I know what you are saying I went 7 months with no income (cried alot)
Used up all my savings and also my daughters - had a lawyer who did nothing and could care less than ic if I needed money.
Fired him (he was one of the tv adds I am ashamed to say)
With the advice I received I took matter into my own hands and within a month got all my back checks in one lump sum yesterday.
Now I can concentrate on me and my health care. I am sure with what I have experienced they have more tricks up their sleeves but I think I am ready.
Nerve testing showed I had carpal tunnel also but I have never had any problem in that area yet and I used my hands alot. The problems I am having are from my neck and shoulder I need surgery on both.
I am getting a water pillow, from info at Johns Hopkins they work wonders for neck and shoulder injuries. I will let you know if I get any relief from it- they were 80.00 and I had to wait until I had some extra money to get it.

RE: MRI Update
nerve test will tell if you have nerve impingement in the wrist, elbow, up in the shoulder or in the neck. Sometimes the MRI may not show the nerve impingement because the nerve can be impinged in many different places along the way or damaged in many different places along the way.

The trick is to find out where the nerve is actually damaged at. - in my case my nerve is damaged between the underarm and neck area - good place to be impinged or damaged. With neuropathy, I am not a candidate for nerve transposition surgery of any type. So that is part of why it is taking so long for me to heal - also my trapezoid muscle no longer works properly which could also impeed it all - who is to say.

RE: MRI Update
pooh i see you have alot of knowledge in this area the dr seem to just want to push me off on someone else and didnt really let me ask any questions or explain anything to me..I did look bulging discs on yahoo and they dont seem to be as bad as i thought they were but who knows...I guess they do routine MRIs to see if there is any more bulging or if they become herniated? I guess that is what happens after they bulge? Im not sure..............I will be specific with my question...What exactley is the next stage after the disc is bulging? Thank you
