MD opinion controls; therapist is not qualified under the code to determine disability.

RE: not sure what is going to happen now
Hi Sis
It has been my experience that the doctors will follow what PT suggest. Been at this almost 2 yrs on both knees and if the pt reports more therapy is recommended then that is what the doctor follows. If the pt reports reads no more therapy is needed due to lack of progress or "up to full speed" then the doctor will put you at MMI. This is based on my experience. Good Luck Bummer Knees |

RE: not sure what is going to happen now
Hi Sis, 1171 is correct, and so is Bummer! The Dr. does in fact have Final Say, which in some States a Second Opinion is allowed, and Bummer is correct that the Dr. as a General Rule will usually follow the PT's Suggestions. I guess what I'm saying is You won't know which way the Dr. is going to go, and what Your next Step would be. My Opinion only, brush up on Your State Laws before Your next Appt., so You will know what step to take next, and Best of Luck!!
