what do you want from this board? (very on topic)
yesterday a comment was made to me that hurt my feelings.so many of you came on thru the board and PMs to pat me on the back and tell me to keep on doing what I was doing.so I ask you just what do we as injured workers and spouses of injured workers expect from this board?
I have a family here we have shared so much from injuries, med problems, cruises, sexual problems to our faith(or lack there of)...
I was so happy when we got the new board cuz to me it said ADMIN knew we needed more space to continue to grow as a family and gave us great new toys to play with.....Never has ADMIN said we were to not discuss anything except the names of the really naughty ICs and asked us to limit the size of some of our pics....
So does God or speaking of his grace and wonders offend some of you?Or maybe the fact I am white and one of my daughters is black get your goat?It doesnt bother me princess is jewish as long as it doesnt bother her I am christian for we all have to answer for our self...
I truly hope we can go on the way we were last week before this crazy stuff started ....was the moon full? or had meds run out for some?I know for me a storm was on its way and I hurt everywhere...so I am gonna forgive all those that made my last week icky from our"dead member" to our "cranky one" Gods grace on you both may he bring you both the peace you both need to go on.You will both be in my prayers to find the peace you need to live your life.
may you both find a a broken washer cuz sometimes(with me) if its been awile since the big "O" I get cranky as all get out
oh and do you all want me to seek out the inspirational messages or is that now a nono

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: what do you want from this board? (very on topic)
Jayne, I'm so very sorry if anyone has hurt you, or your feelings. I never been bothered by others or their Faiths, for I myself, have family and friends of all Faiths. Most I grew up with, and tried to learn their faiths also. The end result in my learnings was we all looked up to higher power. The name might of been different, was really about all. Oh, sure their teachings are way different. Gosh, I go on for days and weeks about how man came about on this earth, and how they spread across the world, and on and on. The story of it all is just so amazing. I don't know what was said to you? But somehow, I hope it just wasn't worth the words spent to say it too you. As for myself, I can take a beating and keep on ticking. But I too would come back with a rage, I lot stonger than the one you gave. In my best opinion, you had done your's with grace.

RE: what do you want from this board? (very on topic)
:(Hi Jayne........I also am so sorry someone hurt your feelings. I am so busy anticipating this surgery that I know I have missed alot. Me personally couldn't care less what faith, nationality, race, etc. anyone is. To me it is humans that make the world go round. Difference is what keeps it interesting. We ahve all shared alot as you said and I for one try to stay clear of any slamming. If I read a post that I think is wrong, hurtful I will at times jump in with my opinion but most of us as yourself are capable of handling a confrontation. As far as religion goes, I was born and raised a Catholic Italian. Alot of you have made me think about returning to my faith. I have not practiced it for many years though I talk to God constantly. As badboy said there is a higher power whatever or whoever he/she/ is. I am truly considering going back to church but not mine. I'm looking around for possibly a different congregation and don't feel they'll mind that I am Catholic. All of you have given me this need to return to some form of structured religion. I'm glad you got it out and said what you had to say. Since I don't know how to make rum balls maybe we can get someone else to do it and I would be more than happy to share with you in hopes that it makes you feel more lighthearted.

Peace,
CAPSmile

God is never late.

In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years.

Wink RE: what do you want from this board? (very on topic)
Jayne, I'm with Bad Boy on this one! You keep doing what you're doing!! It doesn't bother me at all....I look forward to your inspirational stories....be it religious based or not. Being a christian, like yourself, we have many of the same beliefs. That's not saying everyone does and should. It takes people of all races and religions to make the world that we live in. Just because someone doesn't believe the same as we do doesn't mean that we're wrong or that they are. It just goes on to prove, once again, that we are each individuals with individual beliefs and needs. Right? How many times to we tell someone we can't answer this or that because what might be right for me may not be right for you? This is a part of that. I don't care if one is black, white, tan, yellow or red...the only thing that really matters to me is that we are all treat one another with kind words and respect. I realize that sometimes we may have to be a little harsh...just to get our point across, but that doesn't mean that we love you any less, right?
As far as I'm concerned, you can post a daily prayer for us. If nothing else it will show that at some point or another we will have all read that piece and have said a prayer of our own....no matter what religion we practice, right? Hasn't it been said before that the greatest power is that of prayer? Seems to me I've heard that many times before....keep up the good work!! You don't bother me at all by doing what you do best....loving and caring for your family and friends!!

Jayne, Keep posting what you have been posting... Dont let one person get to ya. Yes, I am Jewish and I know there are very few of us here, if im not the only one. It doesnt bother me at all that everyone is what they are. What bothers me is when someone knocks one of my family members here.

To answer your question what do I want from this board? Exactly what Im getting now, love, caring people, and a ton of support. My day isnt complete until Ive been here at least a bazillion times.

Jayne, as I said in the other post, Post On!! I enjoy your messages, they are very uplifting and we all need that from time to time. And let me make this perfectly clear: I don't care if your black, red, green, white, Jewish, Atheist, Christians, etc. I met everyone on this board and consider you all friends. We carry a common bond, we are injured and we have to deal with w/c and the i/c, and while discussing these issues I feel we have all became closer. If some people feel offended by what anyone on here has to say, it simple: DON"T CLICK ON THEIR POST!! Go about your business and speak to the people you want to. As for me I have no problem with anyone and I don't look at your religion or color I look at you as friends!! That's my opinion and I'm stickin' to it!!!Wink

RE: what do you want from this board? (very on topic)
Hi Jayne...I did read the post and felt at the time very hurt for you and the forum about it also.  I was not having a good day healthwise yesterday so I stepped out.  I do believe that you should post whatever you want to post.  I know that many times it has inspired me and made my day better.  I also believe that maybe their are some who do not feel the same way and I do not want them to leave or feel hurt either.  I believe what makes this such a great forum, is not the topic of W/C, but the bonding that takes place by everyone over the serious and not so serious subjects.  Sometimes if we are too serious for too long we will loose sight of who we are as people.  And with this subject and all that we have all been through, it is easy to let bitterness control our thoughts.  The non serious is needed occasionally to maintain a good balance.  I always felt that you Jayne brought that balance to us.  I don't know how, but appreciate the fact that you do.  I am very good at the serious and searching for information etc.  I love to do it and it makes me feel good helping someone else.  You, Jayne help us in a different way and it feels good to me.  The person who made the post leans towards the serious side but brings valuable information to this board and his or her wishes are to be respected also.

I believe that anything that is off W/C topic maybe should be labeled as such.  I believe that Princess suggested this in another post.  Then we are respecting the wishes of those who do not want to read the inspiration and encouragement that we all like to do and hear, and we have the help of those who lean toward the topic W/C and share what they know.

Personally I feel that my needs are not greater than the needs of an individual.  In other words, I do not feel it is my place to chastise or comment on something I don't like or care about.  However, as a family, I do believe and hope that we can all agree to disagree.  So if one family member says I don't like this or that we will respect their comments as well as our own.

Jayne did you read my post about having a family of the national league.  It is under the new introductions.  I love the different cultures and belief's.  We learn so much from other people and their countries and cultures.  Thanks for having the courage to ask these questions.

Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.

RE: what do you want from this board? (very on topic)
I was not looking for atta boys but kinda wanted to see what we wanted to read about/do with our board.I understand 1171 he is old school when this board was JUST IW and their questions no more no less and maybe he feels threatned but the fact is if we are growing and evolving into something he is not comfortable with maybe we can all help him get comfortable with the new us the family we have become...so here it is an open invitation to all come put your feet under our table....have a cup of coffee relax and enjoy we are so much more than just a WC board...that may be why we came but not why we stayed....we stayed because we felt we had found a home and friends and family......The unconditional love is why we stayed past the questions.....
