RE: New Update
I believe it's 21 days unless they deny the claim at which point there will be no check. Sorry.

RE: New Update

Mel....WC can deny a claim for thousands of reasons. Mine was denied because my supervisor was mad at me the day before I was injured. He told the IC to deny it. I saw the Dr. they told me to see, had MRI's to back up each of the 5 injured body parts. It took 14 months and a good attorney for a Judge to decide in my behalf. Idon't mean to scare you but these things do happen to good, hard working, legitimately injured people. You really need to speak to an attorney so youare totally aware of all that can happen so youare not in the dark. Did you start the Prednisone today?

RE: New Update
Mel, my TTD checks did not start coming until 3 weeks after my accident. My first check covered all 3 weeks. An attorney can tell you how much you are eligable to receive. In my state (Kansas) we only get 66% of what our wages were before taxes. I have heard some stories about insurance companies trying to pay less. I have not had that problem. An attorny will be able to tell you how much you are eligable to receive. You can also look it up for yourself by clicking the Info By State link at the top of this page. There is lots of good answers there that should be able to help you. Be very careful what you say to your insurance adjuster right now.

RE: New Update
in NH you get only 60%of your pay. I did not remember waiting to long for my first check, but then again the first week the HR dept. had the 26 weeks figured out for me and already sent in. Depends on how fast people work. They have 30 days to reimburse you for your mileage and mine is cutting it close right now and went on vacation till oct 9th. I left a message today to the stand in person while he is gone that i did not recieve it yet and expecting it, and also how upset i am that the adjuster talked to me and the secretary at the doctors office for the PI rateing and never sent the paper back signed. I am waiting 2 weeks now for that to happen when he comes back.

You see,,,,workers comp. can be a real headache also. Never mind the pain we all go through, we need this stuff on top of it. Good luck.

carpal tunnel recurrence/ neuropathy / RSD.
1/29/07 injury date. Permanent. PIR settlement 8/4/08 10%
