RE: ok went to the ER
Go to the top of the page to , info by state, this area should have the information you need about milage.
I use the excel program on my computer to keep track of my milage. Some attorneys will provide you with a form to document your milage. |

RE: ok went to the ER
Mel, this is my First reply to You, although I have been reading Your Posts for a while now. Many Folks on Here will tell You that I have been through just about every Phase and Problem this w/c System has to Offer, and I set here Today, at Age 45, Typing to You from My Power Wheelchair, the victim of a serious Spinal injury. You are running Yourself in Circles, getting nothing accomplished, only piling more and more on top of Yourself! You have one and only ONE Problem to be handling right now, GETTING BETTER!! You need an Attorney, and quick, to handle Your Mileages, w/c problems, etc., and You need to start using the Meds. given You, and give them a chance to work!! Until You get Your Mind and Pain under control, You will only add to Your Pain, by being too Stressed!! If You don't have an Attorney, let someone in Your Family or a Friend search for ALL of the answers You are looking for about w/c, let that Burden go, and concentrate on relieving Your Pain. I Believe You 100% that Your Pain is REAL, but trying and putting too much on Your plate, and trying to handle too much while in Pain, will only make it worse!! Slow Down, work and Learn to Control Your Pain, deal with One Thing at a Time starting with Your Pain, and relief will follow! I Hope this Helps, I've been exactly where You are setting right Now, as has many others who are giving You advice, and We are only trying to Help, something some of us didn't have right away, and had to learn on our own!! GOOD LUCK!!
Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |

RE: ok went to the ER
Yes, Mel I feel you should. This way the attorney can explain whatever we can't. You'll know where to get your meds filled through WC, who you can see for PT and which Dr., how to be reimbursed for mileage, etc. Keep in mind mileage reimbursement is generally given IF you must go outside of your geographic area for testing or treatment. CAP God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: ok went to the ER
Mel
My first time around with wc I did not have an attorney, I kept track of my milage by the excel program and upon MMI gave the information to my nurse case manager. Let me say not having an attorney was a big mistake on my part and wc took advantage of me. Two months after MMI I did hire an attorney. hHis time around I keep track of my milage and give the information to my attorney. Please listen to what Still In Limbo and the other have to say to you and let us know how things are going. Some medications do not work right away while other do, when I have questions about my medications, I contact my pharmacy or do a google search. |
