X-rays do not show soft tissue. Your MRI will show soft tissue, and any abnormalities, in detail. It sounds like you have either a bulging disc or herniated disc at the C6 / C7 level in your neck. This bulge or herniaition is likely pressing on the nerve that controls motion and sensation to your arms. The MRI should show the bulge or herniation.

I WOULD just like to thank you all so very much!! for you comments and help..Here is a new update i spoke with the wc insurance adjuster today to see if she had approved my pt yet and she finally got back to me a hour ago and said yes it was pproved on the 21st which was right away now everyone is telling me something is wrong because she was so quick to approve both the mri and pt..And i also asked her if i could see another dr as the one they sent me to was horrible she gave me a new place i can go another occupational health but said she has not had any complaints from anyone that has went here...Ok with that being said i am a little nervous that she is being so nice....I am in severe pain still at work on light duty the whole problem is theses drs think its only been a injry since sept 11 its been going on for over 2 1/2 months but the hr person never filled out a report told me unless i needed surgery for my hand theere is no reason and my neck wasnt work related well i found out it was right away and he said there is no reason for a report if you are still working so these drs dont know this he told me i can not say this to them i have to say its only been 2 weeks i dont know what to do all i know is im in severe pain i have already had an emg test done on my left arm and i have mild carpal tunnel this dr never even ordered a test ..thats why i didnt like him and he was a terrible dr anyways so th egood news is i have some where new to go to
