RE: Heres an Update
Mel...hopefully the tests will give you the answers and treatment you need. Always remember that you can't change the truth and it does win in the end. Don't worry about protecting anyone but yourself. Employers, IC's, IME's, NCM's will act like your friend and cut yuor throat ina heartbeat. Let us know how you make out. CAP God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: Heres an Update
Mel:
I think that you should definitly talk to a lawyer about this. Your employer should have filed a claim when you first approached him about the trouble. Being that your Drs. have stated that it is work related, you should be able to get your out of pocket money returned to you. Do yourself a favor and call a few WC lawyers and get some free consults, just ignore the ones that advertise on TV. Good luck and keep us posted. Vickie |

RE: Heres an Update
Morning Mel.....I do understand your dilemna and pain. Please take everyone's advise and find yourself a good WC attorney. First of all they take alot of the burden of dealing with all of this aggravation off of us. Secondly they're needed in 98% of all cases. OK, that being said let's get to PT. I suffered a neck, shoulder, back, knee andankle injury. Ended up having shoulder surgery a year later. The PT for that has aggravated my neck which I had under control through traction and massage. Nothing has been done for my lower body. I have had to cahnge PT facilities for various different reasons off and on in 16 months. I start to get better and BOOM! all is shot out from under me. My shoulder was finally starting to move a little better, pain ws tolerable and the Adjuster started to play games with the PT facility. well now they don't want me to come back since they're afraid they won't get pain. Put me out ofmuch needed PT for 2 weeks just as I'm making headway. Just wanted you to know what the IC does to IW. And I certainly don't have the worst story here. Please elt an atttorney guide you and work for you. The fact the the HR guy didn't file the papers really shouldn't matter. the date of injury is still the date of injury. CAP God is never late. In the end it doesn't matter how many years were in your life but how much life was in your years. |

RE: Heres an Update
dear cap,
thank so much to take the time to reply and everyone else on here i really truly appreaciate it its helped me so much not knowing anything about this whole other world...Well here is the update i went to see the dr today for xrays and a follow up...They took about 15 x rays of my neck and c-7 spine said there is soft tissue muscle didnt say much else gave me a refill on pain killers and a script for Pt and thats all i will see him next monday for an extended visit not sure what that means but...What i am truly upset about is yes my neck is in severe pain and by working i am not getting any better even light duty but the main thing is the numbness in my left arm and tingling and pain i know i have Mild carpal tunnel in that hand and not once has he mentioned that or even said to send me to a neuro for and emg test or anything does this make sense???? And he says the pain is from the neck probably a pinched nevere but he doesnt know that yet so why not for the capral tunnel which is work relatd and is part of my claim????? |

RE: Heres an Update
one step at a time sometimes we want it all fixed yesterday......but they gotta do it one step at a time and get the ok's from the WC gods
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....
