CPAP and pain meds
Anybody use a CPAP and take narcotics? I've been talking on a CPAP forum about this and wondered if anybody here had any info. I was taking Oxy before my PM doc wanted to try morphine to see if a change in meds might help any. Well the morphine is not helping at all and should be switching back to Oxy in a few weeks. Any way when I was talking oxy I would take a lower dose at night because it messed with my breathing and he had me on the same dose morning and night with the morphine and I think it is giving me more breathing problems. Well taking the same dose of oxy might help if the breathing would be better. From what I'm understanding there are some CPAP machines that would help better with the breathing issues but medicare had already paid for the one I have and it would be 5 years before they will get me another. I did speak with my lawyer and he said if the breathing issue is because of the pain meds he didn't see why WC should not have to pay for a new CPAP machine that would help with this. Going to need to see a sleep doctor and if he says the same thing they are telling me I will get him to order the right machine and turn it over to my lawyer to see about getting one. Would also save me some money since maybe they would have to buy the supplies I get once and month
