update frustrated and clueless
went back to doctor on 9/4/07, still off work, doctors comment was she felt like she was just putting a band aid on a gushing wound , with no other way to treat the wound, still no authz. on MRI after almost 2 weeks, have called ombudsman on 9/5/07 and the person I talked to said he would call my caseworker and see if he could get any info, and would call me back have not heard a thing, I've made calls to 2 separte lawyers and have not heard back from either one of them either, and can't get caseworker to answer the phone or return my call, doctor really seems about as frustrated as I am. I cant get any straight answers from anyone. All I want to do is scream, and then cry. major GGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RE: update frustrated and clueless
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh one of the few things I learned early was the feeling of going postal..........if the post office treated their workers the way we are being treated I can understand why some snapped not saying its right but saying if I was on the jury the man wouldnt go to the chair
;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: update frustrated and clueless
Seaturtle, I'm very Sorry for what you're going through, this w/c system is Hell, to say the least! Please keep in mind though that if you have a w/c claim in process, accepted or not, if the Pain gets too bad you can go to the E.R. for Help. Explain your situation and they will attempt to Bill w/c and if denied, you can file a Petition for Payment when you do retain an Attorney. Maybe by going to the E.R. the Dr. there may order an MRI, and you can get one quicker than waiting for w/c! Just a suggestion, I Hate to see anyone in Pain for no other reason than a w/c system too slow, or someone doing their Job!! Best of Luck, and I Hope this Helps!!
Failed Back Surgery, Chronic Pain, Totally Disabled. Knowledge is Power, Especially in the World of w/c. Learn as Much as You can about Your States w/c Laws, and don't Fight Battles alone, They Use Attorney's, and so Should You!! |

Thanks for suggestion The E.R. was the first place I went cuz my employer tried to put my injury off on me moving ( like 3 weeks before Injury), and I was told at E.R. that it was just a pulled muscle( without) the doctor even looking/ touching me.... The insurance comp. has sent me to a doctor, and i've got meds to help with the pain but, it doesn't help much. i've seen her 3 times in the last 3 weeks / 4 times as of 9/11/07.... and the doctor has been trying for the last 2 weeks to get apporval for MRI or an Ortho- specialist. the i/c will return the doctor requests( phone calls) nor will they return mine, on Thrusday I finally contacted the ombudsman for alabama, and was told they would contact i/c to see if they could get things moving, they called me back and told me they only got a voice mail, I called the docs. office saturday morning , and still no info ( docs office still waiting ) so i have started to look for an attorney and again, thanks for the sugesstion been there done that. LOL |

RE: update frustrated and clueless
Turtle
sorry your still having a hard time of this. Have they started paying your ttd yet? I know that was also a concern of yours the last time you posted. I think my last MRI took 6 weeks for approval so they didn't even set up my follow up appointment until after they did the MRI. The NCM always hated the fact that I set up appointments according to my schedule and not hers. |
