RE: is two weeks too late?
i live in north dakota, my boss knew of the injury the day it happened. that next week i told him i felt like i should report this to wc, i could tell he was unhappy about that, his first response was how it was my fault basically, which isnt true but he absolutely does not want me to report this. i would imagine he doesnt want his rates to go up. i figured id give it another week and see how everything felt. should have gone in right away now im always going to wonder if there are hidden problems. this was a neck and shoulder injury which is something you just dont take chances on. ive lost all respect for my boss but i blame myself for poor decision making.

RE: is two weeks too late?
IMO, you need to go the WC route to CYA should future problems arise.
BUT....you also could hand the chiro bills to your boss and tell him to handle it...or you're filing WC claim.
Where I worked....after I had my injury & WC claim....i had to have medications...i was instructed by my employer to use my regular insurance for medicines....and give them the bill for my co-pay and they re-paid me from petty cash. I later found out, this is not how it was suppose to work....heck, I'd never been injured before, I didn't know proper procedure! So a year later, I had mistakenly forgot to cash a WC check and had filed it. I had to dig it up for WC and return it. When I didn't receive my re-embursement promptly....i used the above prescription situation as leverage. If employer was telling me to put my meds on reg insurance....how many other people with injuries had done this also?....Reg Insurance was covering meds that were not their responsibility...but WC's....so I reminded my adjuster of that fact and possibly our reg insurance would need refunded. I got my check three days later!
