RE: Birthday Rant
Sorry we missed your birthday, but I also have to say it is not the end of the world. Suck it up.

Can't run your own business? I don't buy it.

Just heard this guy speak at a conference. Incredible story. If he can climb a mountain 10 months after losing both legs, you should be able to adapt and overcome.

Sorry, but you are better than your post allows.

RE: Birthday Rant
Becky has much more on her plate than what she posted.

I see the depression in her post and hope she gets some help.

Loosing the use of the dominant hand & arm is a tough one. Becky has already had surgery which has failed and now learned the RSD has spread to that arm. I understand her emotions with this as I start surgerys next month on the hands/arms to try and stop additonal loss of use. I will retrain to use the non-dominant hand if needed. Becky is stuborn and once she gets over the shock of loss I believe she will be okay.

That is an awesome story Admin, thanks for sharing!

RE: Birthday Rant
You know Jayne some people pull away from others at times they need the support the most.

Don't know if that thinking is part of the depression?

RE: Birthday Rant
I do not mean to be harsh, but getting angry at your friends because they did not see it was your birthday is not right. I realize she has other things going on, but a lot of people have "things going on".

I am becoming more convinced than ever that people can make the best of bad situations or be consumed by them. There is very little middle ground on this. The gentleman I referred to earlier really hit home with me. I've had follow up conversations with him, trying to figure out how to get his message to those who CHOOSE to benefit from it.

He has another site that has really inspirational stories that people should listen to when they have the time. It is at http://www.thesolutionrevolution.com/.

This man makes his living selling a motivational message, and I do not leave that link with the idea you need to buy anything. He put those interviews "outside" the members area so people like those we serve here could listen to them.

There are impressive stories there for anyone who cares to listen.

RE: Birthday Rant
Admin you have members on here who go several days at the end of a month without eating so their kids can... they dont make it public knowledge not because they are ashamed but because they know they are not alone in this boat called WC...many on here have lost every thing they ever worked for....they wash their laundry in their kitchen sink because they cant afford the laundry mat and the washer and dryer were sold a long time ago.I do not believe even you relize how far some on here have sunk because they have sold everything that is saleable.I am a lucky one My Husband was retired military it kept us from starving and it kept us from loosing everything. On top of that My boss where I worked was a lawyer and he sent me to the best lawyer for WC in Okla.I was so lucky. Bill and I have a fire tested strong marriage before we came into WC and it held strong. Many dont in this mess....God was very good to me
