Anyone canning this summer?
I tried my hand at canning for the first time this summer.
Made some salsa, next canning tomatoes. I plan on canning pickles in a few days. My son is opening containers for me, lifting heavy pans off the stove and with the combined efforts I will get the canning done. Anyone else doing canning this summer? |

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....

RE: Anyone canning this summer?
yes I have...but they are not the easiest to do your cukes have to be young and fresh picked that morning.I make dill and bread and butter and one time I made a crock salt pickle for Daddy....Daddy and the kids loved them but they took weeks to make....bread and butter are the easiest and the best tasting I think

RE: Anyone canning this summer?
I've put in a large garden this yr but it's not really producing, the corn looks good but the tomatoes are crap. The cantalope looks great, got a couple that are bigger than my head. I'd love to do some canning but nothing to can. Hopefully next year.
