I had mine done. It wasn't nearly as bad as I imagined it would be. Of course it was done on my leg and not my back. Neuro was able to tell me right away I have a nerve blocked in my lower leg which is the reason my left foot is numb now. He said the neurontin I am taking should help. it I have been on it almost 2 months and it hasn't helped yet. The body is a strange thing. I fell on my head going 60 mph and my foot is asleep Big Grin

Sounds like he went along with the AMA guides for the rating - but did not do the range of motion or nerve part of the rating. Still confusing if you need surgery, unless you turned down the surgery.

HEY POOH,I THINK THE W/C INSURANCE USED HIM TO FEEL ME OUT ON WHAT I THOUGHT ABOUT THE IDEA OF SURGERY.BASICALLY AN IME IF I'M CORRECT.HE TOLD ME THAT SURGERY WAS MY CHOICE AND I ASKED WHAT TYPE OF PROCEDURE WOULD BE DONE,OTHER THAN SOME TYPE OF FUSION,HE WOULDN'T SAY UNTIL I MADE THE DECISION TO HAVE IT OR NOT.AS FOR THE RATING,IT DOESN'T SOUND RIGHT TO ME EITHER...I HAVE NOT GOTTEN HIS REPORT YET,ALL I HAVE IS THE RETURN TO WORK FORM FROM THE OFFICE,I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHEN I GET THE REPORTS AND MY FILE!!!!

sounds like he did an IME and rated you knowing that you need surgery trying to get out of the surgery part of it.

Have you talked to your attorney on this?

YEP,I THINK YOUR RIGHT...I HAVE SPOKEN TO MY ATTORNEY,BUT HE SAYS TO WAIT FOR THE DOCTOR'S REPORT GETS TO US BEFORE WE ACT....THANKS POOH!!!!!!!!
