RE: 7 year experience finally ending...
I don't see any issue to be concerned with.
If the IC. wants you off their books. Its simple, its going to cost. I personally would not be involved with settlement talks on my own. I believe I would have an attorney involved in that part of the process. But thats just me. 8-05, Micro laminectomy/disectomy. 10-05 lumbar fusion L5-S1. 2-07 exploritory surgery. 12-07 medical implant, Spinal Cord Stimulator. now receiving SSDI. Jesus died for our sins. Soilders died for our freedom. |

RE: 7 year experience finally ending...
If he settles and needs medical for life and does not settle this issue properly with the IC, He will pay out of pocket because neither Medicare or a private insurance will pay for his needed meds/Doctors visits caused by his WC Injury. Plan and simple.
Medicares Interest must be covered; 99% of all Private Insurances Interest must be covered and this happens by the IC paying his WC Injury for LIFE through Lifetime Medical Or a Medicare setaside. I have settled with a $600K settlement after 9 years. I do understand what 1171 is saying but I would not push Medicares "buttons" because I would be the one they made a example out of. If you need Medical for life, The IC had better pony up the funds or you will suffer financially. (05-18-2012 09:15 PM)AQA Wrote: I don't see any issue to be concerned with. It will be negligibly cost to the IW if the medical part of the settlement is done properly concerning future medical. WC IC are suppose to pay for life a chronic injury caused by a job related injury. |

I agree with that, however I see no reason for the original poster to get to worried about what has been posted.

RE: 7 year experience finally ending...
Well it's been a few weeks, I have not heard from them at all, so they were probably looking to get me to settle for peanuts. My treating doctor told me that these IC reps are like the scum of the earth. Trying to rip people off.. Will keep you all posted on the situation as it occurs.

Dont take it to personal, trust me there not in bussines to loose money... We are just a number to them, they could care less of our needs... |
