I guess your pain tolerance is higher than mine. I hurt 24/7 and need a steady control to have quality of Life. I have to go to PM monthly but to me it is all about quality of Life. Everyone is different.

Thats why I fear the patch, I am trying this morphine er in hopes I dont have to keep taking percocets... If my mind is not right for dominicks sake, I will stop the morphine.. I am about 7 hrs in and have not felt the side effects like the percocets except for a little ringing in the ears...

If you take the 12 hour Morphine ER like you are suppose to, It is the same as wearing the Fentanyl patch because you want 24/7 relief right?

I know the Fentanyl patch is not for everybody. I drive, I have 2 grandchildren ages 4 and 2 that I see almost daily and play with them. I have my Wife's dinner ready every night and keep the house "fairly" clean; It is almost 3000 sq feet.

I could not do these things above without my Fentanyl Patch; I tried and I need the constant relief.

Ambien was a bitch to get off of. I went from 10 to 5 breaking them in half and then cold turkey. It was not easy at all; many sleepless nights but I kicked it.

Lyrica was the worse to get off of. I suffered weining this drug.

Celebrex was no problem to quit.

In a sense I guess its the same, my dr only wants me to take 1 per day. So I figure in the mornings other than being stiff I will hold off til atleast 10/11 am. The number of percocets has been downed, only alowed 2 per day so I will pop 1 in the morning and one in the afternoon for breakthrough relief..

In the last hour or so I have been feeling a bit dizzy I cant blame it on the morphine yet but will watch it tomorow... Does this med tend to work better as the days go on...? I have noticed alot more relief today, wouldnt mind just a bit more..
