I have a few questions
I was hurt on the job almost a year and a half ago and so far I have had two surgeries on my arm, one for carpal tunnel and the other for tennis elbow. I have been diagnosed with chronic regional pain syndrome throughout. I have seen something like 8 doctors and even the workers comp doctor has been siding with me (which I understand is highly unusual). I was told by my workers comp attorney that following the carpal tunnel surgery last year that after one year following that date is when there is a permanency hearing. My arm is no better and there is no expectation it will be, even the workers comp doc says I am a candidate for disability retirement. I was wondering with the laws here in NY, what is next? Does the clock reset with every surgery for the permanency hearing? I know I am down to the last step and then that is it. I work in law enforcement, so any loss of use with my arm which is listed at 100% right now and has never been better than 50% means I can never go back to work at my job on full duty. It's just very confusing.

RE: I have a few questions
your permanent impairment will be rated and permanent disability payments will begin.
you'll have to find a new job within your restrictions.
