any suggestions????
I'm a nurse in tenn, injured on the job, L5 disc bulge with mild compression L5 nerve root. Work in assisted living, injured lifting patient, facility does not provide gait belts or mechanical lifts and do not provide back braces since its assised living, told by attorney they cant be held accountable even if patient is not appropriate for assisted living. Have gone for 2 ESI so far, one more to go, continuing with PT. Date of injury 7/2/07 originally out for 13 days and back to work on very light duty no lift over 5lbs, no bending or twisting torso, after met with specialist taken out of work until ESI complete, out since 8/9/07 still have not recieved TTD paments, have an attorney but getting very little response. Claims adjuster very unresponsive. Had to really fight for the first 6 days TTD I'm entitled to. So far I calculate 4 1/2 weeks behind in TTD. This is very frustrating!! Any suggestions????

RE: any suggestions????
Let your attorney know about your dissatisfaction. He may be actively pursuing your claim without you actually being able to see his efforts. If you are not satisfied with his responses, get a second opinion from another lawyer.

RE: any suggestions????
thank you both, contacted attorney, is going to get more aggressive with my case, request for assistance from labor board on it's way. Not sure how the rest of the process is going to go, I know ESI and PT are almost coming to an end, f/u with specialist in a couple weeks, if no further improvements in my back may recommend surgery, don't really feel this is an option for me, am I entitled to chiropractic care at all?? Not even sure it would help, but is better choice for me than a knife. Was never really given any options when I hurt my back, just sort of got tossed into this rollercoaster ride.
