Back home
Had the injection this morning.

I really like this doctor, Dr J. He also has cervical issues. Two years ago he was going to have surgery, but for the injections for him have worked and he was taken off the surgery list.

The neurosurgeon Dr J saw for the neck is the some one who treats me, small world.

Once the injection started I had lots of cramping accross the back. Dr J tells me he went in at L4-5 near the nerve. He said the cramping is due to the inflamation.

I am told to call the doctor in two weeks and let him know if the injection helped. If I am still having symptoms then I need to reschedule for a second injection.

RE: Back home
So do I Bodybuilder, I've had a heck of a headache all day and it is only getting worse, not eating much because of it. Lots of neck pain today but the BP isn't to bad, 124/110.

Uh, Bummer re-take your BP and let me know what it is. If that's your diastolic reading you're in trouble. If that's your range on systolic (top reading it's okay), I'd like to have a clarification please.

RE: Back home
BP is better 100/89 and I do feel more alert than I did earlier. Odd an even 100.

May have to sleep on the side tonight, don't like the pressure on the back when I try to lie on it.

RE: Back home
100/89, did you take it more than once? The first reading that you gave the diastolic reading was dangerous. But here's the second thing on the last reading and even the first, not enough spread between the systolic and diastolic readings. It's okay to have 40pts between if you have low blood pressure. But only have 11 to 20 pts between the readings usually indicates heart problems. If it continues you need to have it checked out. If the diastolic reading had stayed at 110 you should of gone asap to the ER, that's dangerous.

RE: Back home
Bobybuilder I will continue to document the BP and bring it to my primary's attention.

I had the cardio stuff done last year and everything looked good with being cleared for surgery, ACDF.

The BP was only 110 once and that was the first time taken after the injection, I wasn't feeling the greatest then and could have gotten that bottom number wrong.

I am feeling much better this morning, my neck and shoulders do not hurt. I do not remember the last time I could say that! Plus no low back or leg pain this morning and no pain with the hands.

RE: Back home
The /110 would have scared me, Often after walking in to my appoinments mine reads high, 150/90 but after sitting back down relaxing it goes back down... They read mine 3 times 2 at the begining and then the dr reads before I leave.. Im on 20 / 12.5 combo pill the dosage has doubled since I was injured, pain, extra weight, etc can cause it to climb...

RE: Back home
Thanks Bronco after that burst of energy this morning I decided to drive to Mulvane, KS about an hour from here on the turnpike and go gambling. Well that burst of energy lasted until about 11:00 this morning. By the time I left the casino the heavy weighted feeling & burning in the right leg was back.

I had about almost one full good day after the injection, not to bad!
