A couple questions, have you been back to work since 2008? Did you reinjure it in 2011? Or did your symptoms start again gradually? Did you decline surgery in 2008? What did the docs say in 2008? Did PT help or make it worse?If its been the same injury since then he may be saying dont have surgery because the pain may now be irreversible because its been pushing on the nerve for too long. I know what you mean about cutting the grass,it ruins me every time. 1171 is right about a doc NOT recommending surgery. Sadly i wish mine did so i wouldn't have to make the decision. But i dont think he should tell you to go back to climbing and lifting before he does some tests. Did you mean a discogram as a test. Good luck[/php]
