Old topic revisited
Is social media safe? WC is hosting upcoming classes to teach defendants how to use fb, twitter, other sites, to catch fraudulent activity. Even if your posts are innocent they can be misconstrued to screw you. Just be careful what you post.

RE: Old topic revisited
Very interesting Chris.

I read about an injured worker with a depression claim. The claim was tossed by the judge upon pictures being produced of the injured worker at a bar when the Chipendale dancers were preforming. Pictures were presented in court of the injured worker show her having a "good time" and smiling.

Although I am on facebook I do not post personal information.

RE: Old topic revisited
Dear Admin, unlike the comforts of home we have here, and anonymity, most of the people on f/b use real names. It makes a pi's job easy. Just saying be careful. If you post pics of your beautiful garden and say you are too disabled to garden, I guess I could say you might deserve to be investigated.

And admin, you know my name and we've had this discussion before. Tongue

RE: Old topic revisited
You can look at it both ways, if an injured worker post any kind of pictures or statments that would cause wc to investigate would be stupid on thier end.. But then again if one was to do somthing out and beond thier restrictions on a continous fassion, then mabe they need to be investigated..

I find fb an easier tool to keep up with friends, relatives I dont get to see often... But what you wont find on my facebook wall is me posting with the exception of the games I play.. It boils down to using common sense, even my attorney has told me they monitor many puplic social networks. He told me it would take some realy hard evidence that a judge would side with wc.. We may all be injured but were not dead yet..
