SSDI question- quality review?
Has anyone had experience with their application going to quality review? I knew something had changed because we got his mileage check for his examine. The determination was to be made by Feb 16th. It is now in quality review to see if anything was missed. Not denied. But didn't say approved either and now have till April 16! I would think if denied they would of just ended it then. I didn't know there was such a thing as "quality review" process.

Anyone else have this happen?

RE: SSDI question- quality review?
yes I did, which ment you have been okayed by the local leval but a % of their paperwork has to be sent to be reviewed you were lucky enough to be in that % arent you proud to be so lucky? But they cant tell you that you have been okayed because the upper level may disaprove you.but that very seldom ever happens.....keep an eye on your bank account....or I should say this is what happend to me

;)Workmans comp is not a road you want to travel alone. You need a good lawyer,a great family and good friends to lean on.If you make it thru without losing everything you have worked for all your life, you have come out ahead of the game.....Smile

RE: SSDI question- quality review?
Thank you for the quick reply. I suspected but wasn't sure. I still won't believe it till I see the money. I had never heard anything about a quality review or them having 8 weeks.

Thanks again.

RE: SSDI question- quality review?
I applied Jan 31st, received a phone call from Disability Determination Services on March 14th asking if I had any other medical conditions not listed on the application.

Two weeks after applying the doctors started testing due to a tumor on T12 that showed up on a MRI. The testing for cancer started.

When Receiving that phone call from DDS I gave them the new medical information, name of the hospital where the testing was being done. One week later the intake worker from the local SSA office who worked with me; called to give the news I had been approved for SSDI.

It was less than a week later SSA deposited money into my checking account. The letter from SSA confirming I had been approved came in the mail a few days later. The date I qualified was the day I received the phone call from DDS.

RE: SSDI question- quality review?
Hi, as long as you are talking about SSDI I have a question you might be able to answer. My husband has applied for NYS Disability Retirement and SSDI. If he gets approved for SSDI will NYS FINALLY approve him????

RE: SSDI question- quality review?
state retirement systems have their own criteria and do not let the Feds make the decision for them.
you can try the online information here
